Aerial Assist, the 2014 game, consisted of throwing giant exercise balls over a truss in the middle of the field and into goals at opposite ends. Bonus points were given for teams that used teamwork, meaning a different robot handled the ball in each section of the field. Our robot was fast, accurate, and consistently brought our alliance to victory. We were selected to move onto the elimination rounds at both the Greater DC and New York City regional, and competed in the semifinal competition at each. We were awarded the Excellence in Engineering Award in Greater DC. Watch our robot reveal video below:
